Understand It With Books

The Well-Read Man Project Has Ended

Thank you for visiting the Well-Read Man Project. The project began in 2011 with a quest by author Tim Patrick to read fifty of life's most important books in one year. When that was done, he committed himself to understanding the great ideas of life by reading what others had written, including books from the past as well as modern works.

Not content to simply read, Tim using what he had read to write regular essays on modern events, including politics, history, religion, technology, and even a bit of humor.

The original list of fifty books from the project appears below. You can contact Tim Patrick by email at tim@timaki.com, or view a list of the books he's written.
